growing up

I recently unearthed some memories in the form of hundreds of pictures in my parents garage.

First- An ultrasound picture of myself!

At our first home with my mother.
And I look like my father in this picture...

My cousin Adam and I
Adventure with Mom, Dad, and I at the river!
 With uncle Mark
 Cowgirl for Halloween

I had the best childhood but not because of  buckets of money or exotic vacations.

It's because I have the best family. They are supportive and fun.

Take a second and remember this weekend:)

good friends and guns

In Alabama there aren't too many things to entertain the average tourist,
but if you would like to go off the beaten redneck path
then you should do what my friends and I did two weeks ago for our friends birthday.
Go shootin!
Alan and I
 He can protect me...
but he also knows how to make me laugh
 Caroline
 and David (they are engaged)
Erika (The wife of the birthday boy)
 Jennier and Chad
 Jennifer intensly focused
 Seth
Eleanor and Andrew. They are getting married in November.
As my dad would say
"Congratulations, you are now ready for the end of the world.
Now all you need is 6 months worth of spam, bottled water and candles."

Falling in love

It's interesting when you look back and try to pinpoint the actual moment you fell in love with your spouse, it's often vague and you have a general idea but nothing specific.

Alan and I revisited our past last night and found that exact moment.

Our first full day together was at the Happy Valley Amusement Park in Shenzhen, China.

As simple as it was, that is when we fell in love.

I am so glad we went to that cheesy amusement park despite it being humid.

God really does know what He is doing and it feels so good to know that despite any past faults, we are exactly were we are supposed to be.
