savannah again

Alan and I had the opportunity to take a 48 hour little trip.

His work allowed us to go to Savannah and after the work was done...

Priceline got us a fantastic deal!

Savannah was fun and I am so glad we got to experience it together again.

knoxville

Be proud... I was spontaneous!

Tuesday night we drove with our good friends Chadwick and Erika to take a road trip
up to Knoxville to see our friend Brent!

We stayed with Brandt and Jamie, and played Kinect until 3 or 4am.

We woke up to a huge breakfast and then we went exploring downtown.

Even though we were only there for 24 hours- it was perfect.

minnesota love

Alan and I decided to drive up to Minnesota this time instead of traveling by air.

We made it in 19 long hours.

savannah again

Savannah is somewhere I truly enjoyed and would like to visit again
but probably in the summer when there is more going on or during the SCAD film festival!

We went to an overpriced neighborhood artisan market (think a tiny Whole Foods)

Everything was so pricey we ended up going to Kroger for groceries for the week, but we did get breakfast and coffee while we were there.

Then we walked back to our vacation rental on Houston and these were a few shots of the area.

Lovely isn't it?

October Trip Part 3

There is something that has always drawn me towards water,
Oceans.Rivers.Lakes.

I can't get enough of it.

I think it reminds me of God and thats why I love it.

One thing I was sure to do while in Savannah,
 get near the ocean.

A ship off of River Street
Shells we found on Tybee Beach
How incredibly vast is His love for me.

October Trip Part 2

We stayed in an adorable townhome on Houston with our good friends Lauren and Trey.

 I can't believe it's been a year...
My calves are still sore from all the walking we did throughout the city.
Sweet Mommy-to-be
I couldn't get enough of the architecture!
Every college town has a fountain...
According to my friend, horses do this to relieve one hoof from their
tremendous body weight (they don't lay down often)
Lauren and I in front of Paula Deen's place
 St. John's Cathedral (I think)
One of our little friends we encountered while waiting for the trolley.

October Trip Part 1

There is a city outside of Atlanta called Clarkston.

This city is home to many refugees from all over the world.

We were given the opportunity to serve some of them through a neighborhood block party.

We fed them, played music and games, and also had a yard sale.

It was a great trip, and we can't wait to go back!

vacation

I can't wait for Alan and I to escape for a few days to celebrate our upcoming anniversary.

The photo above was taken about three years ago
(the last time I went to the beach...yes it is very sad)

Alan and I are planning on going to the beach- either the Gulf or the Atlantic.

Hilton Head is tempting with it's bike trails and spanish moss hung off ancient trees,
while the Gulf has sugar white beaches and a deep sea fishing connection for us.

I am immersing myself into vacation planning today, we are wanting to go around Sept 23-28.

If you have any possible connections- such as knowing someone who could rent us their condo/house/etc that would much appreciated.

Meanwhile I'll be immersed in dreams of fresh seafood, salty winds, and the hot sun.

hotlanta

Atlanta has always been a passing through point or "for the day" place for us.

Alan and I are going on a mini trip with two of our favorite people for Memorial Day Weekend.

 The Park- FREE
 Coke Bottling Plant- $16
 Braves Game- $8-30
Aquarium- $25
Whatever we decide to buy:)

a restful retreat

I recently watched a favorite movie again "Something's Gotta Give"
and it made me want to visit the Hamptons!

So I decided to do a little outfit if I was to travel there and walk on the beach.
