savannah again

Savannah is somewhere I truly enjoyed and would like to visit again
but probably in the summer when there is more going on or during the SCAD film festival!

We went to an overpriced neighborhood artisan market (think a tiny Whole Foods)

Everything was so pricey we ended up going to Kroger for groceries for the week, but we did get breakfast and coffee while we were there.

Then we walked back to our vacation rental on Houston and these were a few shots of the area.

Lovely isn't it?

a lingerie shower!

I had the honor of attending my wonderful friend Eleanor's lingerie shower.

It was perfect!

The hostesses discovered the perfect balance of sweet and spicy;)

Sinatra's golden voice was played softly in the background and candles provided a warm glow.

They had a white sheet hung up to project a video of Andrew being asked
questions that Eleanor then had to guess what his answer was.
(Everytime she got an answer wrong though she had to don some ridiculous article
of clothing that she had to strut down the runway at the end.)
 Delicous coffee!
 Desserts galore, including canolis!
 The sweet bride, Eleanor.
 She recieved lots of goodies!!!
The wreath on the door of Jordan's home where the shower was held:)

There was no way I was leaving without a picture of it-
even though it was pitch black outside though haha!

October Trip Part 3

There is something that has always drawn me towards water,
Oceans.Rivers.Lakes.

I can't get enough of it.

I think it reminds me of God and thats why I love it.

One thing I was sure to do while in Savannah,
 get near the ocean.

Shells we found on Tybee Beach
How incredibly vast is His love for me.

October Trip Part 2

We stayed in an adorable townhome on Houston with our good friends Lauren and Trey.

 I can't believe it's been a year...
My calves are still sore from all the walking we did throughout the city.
Sweet Mommy-to-be
I couldn't get enough of the architecture!
Every college town has a fountain...
According to my friend, horses do this to relieve one hoof from their
tremendous body weight (they don't lay down often)
Lauren and I in front of Paula Deen's place
 St. John's Cathedral (I think)
One of our little friends we encountered while waiting for the trolley.

Local Love: Savannah Edition

Favorite store in Savannah...

Measure
a fabric parlor

There are many expensive yet boring shops in Savannah,
so it was a real treat to stumble upon such adorable find.

The shop's owner is Maria who is a recent SCAD graduate.

She set up shop here primarily for the students to be able to find unique and inspiring fabrics.

Sweet Maria

Between the customer service and the whimsical atmosphere I ended up purchasing something,
despite my complete lack of sewing skills.

I recommend you drop by the next time you are in Savannah:)

October Trip Part 1

There is a city outside of Atlanta called Clarkston.

This city is home to many refugees from all over the world.

We were given the opportunity to serve some of them through a neighborhood block party.

We fed them, played music and games, and also had a yard sale.

It was a great trip, and we can't wait to go back!
