October Trip Part 3

There is something that has always drawn me towards water,
Oceans.Rivers.Lakes.

I can't get enough of it.

I think it reminds me of God and thats why I love it.

One thing I was sure to do while in Savannah,
 get near the ocean.

October Trip Part 2

We stayed in an adorable townhome on Houston with our good friends Lauren and Trey.

 I can't believe it's been a year...
My calves are still sore from all the walking we did throughout the city.
Sweet Mommy-to-be
I couldn't get enough of the architecture!
Every college town has a fountain...
According to my friend, horses do this to relieve one hoof from their
tremendous body weight (they don't lay down often)

 St. John's Cathedral (I think)

Local Love: Savannah Edition

Favorite store in Savannah...

Measure
a fabric parlor

There are many expensive yet boring shops in Savannah,
so it was a real treat to stumble upon such adorable find.

The shop's owner is Maria who is a recent SCAD graduate.

She set up shop here primarily for the students to be able to find unique and inspiring fabrics.

Sweet Maria

Between the customer service and the whimsical atmosphere I ended up purchasing something,
despite my complete lack of sewing skills.

I recommend you drop by the next time you are in Savannah:)

October Trip Part 1

There is a city outside of Atlanta called Clarkston.

This city is home to many refugees from all over the world.

We were given the opportunity to serve some of them through a neighborhood block party.

We fed them, played music and games, and also had a yard sale.

It was a great trip, and we can't wait to go back!
